Leto Copeley appointed to National Crime Victim Bar Association Advisory Board

Leto has just returned from a joint conference of the National Center for Victims of Crime and the National Crime Victim Bar Association.  At the conference, which was held in Phoenix, she was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Bar Association’s advisory board. Hundreds of attendees, including both victim rights advocates and attorneys, attended workshops on how to obtain justice for those who have been victimized by both violent crime and crimes involving financial fraud.

The Crime Victim Bar Association presented the 2013 Frank Carrington Champion of Civil Justice Award to Fred and Kim Goldman, the father and sister of Ron Goldman, who was brutally murdered while trying to protect his friend, Nicole Brown Simpson. Following Ron’s death, Fred and Kim obtained a civil jury verdict against O.J. Simpson in the amount of $33 million, and have tirelessly advocated for victims, as authors, public speakers and media commentators. They are the founders of the Ron Goldman Foundation for Justice.
