The Charlotte Observer has published an in-depth look at the case of Jason Peck v. William Airey, which Seth Langson, Konrad Kircher, Marc Pearlman and Leto Copeley filed in Ohio on behalf of the plaintiff Dr. Peck. The case is now in discovery. In the lawsuit, Peck alleges that he was abused by William Airey, until recently the CEO of Moose International, when Peck was 12 years old and Airey was his neighbor in Ohio. As Dr. Peck explained to reporter Elizabeth Leland, he had lived in silence with the horrible memories of his abuse for years, but was motivated to speak out after the Penn State scandal broke and after realizing that as a respected medical doctor with a wife and children, he was in a better position that many survivors to tell his story and seek justice against William Airey. Until news of the lawsuit broke out, Airey’s office was, we believe, located on the campus of the Mooseheart Child City and School, a residential school and facility for at-risk youth. Since the lawsuit was filed, several more alleged victims of Airey have come forward, and the law firms are investigating their claims.
